Get Ready

Title: Get Ready, Get Set, Prepare: Embracing the New Thing

Introduction:
I want to share a message inspired by the words of the prophet Isaiah, found in Isaiah 43:19. This verse speaks to us about preparing for the new thing that God is about to do in our lives. It’s a call to get ready, get set, and prepare ourselves for the amazing work that God has in store for each one of us.

I. Embracing Change
Change is a constant in our lives. Sometimes change can be intimidating, even frightening. Yet, Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God is constantly doing a new thing. As we look around us, we see evidence of this truth in the changing seasons, the growth of our children, and the evolution of our own lives. God is always at work, bringing new opportunities, new challenges, and new blessings into our lives.

II. Getting Ready
To embrace the new thing that God is doing, we must first get ready. This means being open to change, willing to let go of old habits and attitudes that may be holding us back, and preparing our hearts and minds to receive the newness that God wants to bring into our lives. Just as we prepare for a journey by packing our bags and planning our route, we must prepare for the journey that God has in store for us.

III. Getting Set
Getting set involves taking action. We can’t just passively wait for change to happen; we must actively position ourselves to receive it. This may involve stepping out of our comfort zones, taking risks, and being willing to follow God’s leading, even when it seems uncertain or challenging. We must be ready to take the necessary steps to align ourselves with God’s purpose and plan for our lives.

IV. Preparation
Preparation is key to successfully navigating the new things that God has in store for us. This may involve seeking God in prayer, studying His word, and being attentive to His voice. It may also mean developing new skills, cultivating new relationships, and making changes in our lives that will allow us to fully embrace the new thing that God is doing.

Conclusion:
As we reflect on Isaiah 43:19 and the call to get ready, get set, and prepare for the new thing that God is doing, let us remember that God’s plans for us are always good. Let us trust in His faithfulness and be open to the wonderful opportunities that He has in store for us. May we approach the future with hope, courage, and a willingness to step into the new things that God has prepared for us. Amen.
