Title: Go So They Will Know

Introduction:
Today we gather as a community of believers to reflect on the powerful message of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. In these verses, Jesus gives us a clear command to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey His teachings. The essence of this command is to go so that others may come to know the life-changing love and truth of our Savior.

I. The Call to Go:
Jesus’ command to go and make disciples is not a suggestion; it is a divine mandate for every follower of Christ. We are called to step out of our comfort zones, to reach out to those who do not yet know Him, and to share the good news of salvation. As we go, we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus, demonstrating His love and compassion to a hurting world.

II. Making Disciples:
Making disciples is more than just sharing the gospel; it involves nurturing and guiding new believers in their faith journey. We are called to baptize them in the name of the triune God, marking their commitment to follow Christ. Additionally, we are to teach them to obey all that Jesus has commanded, helping them grow in their relationship with Him and live out their faith in tangible ways.

III. The Promise of His Presence:
As we embark on the mission of making disciples, we can take comfort in the assurance that Jesus is with us always. He promises to be by our side, empowering us with His Spirit and guiding us in our efforts to spread the gospel. With His presence, we can step out in faith, knowing that He goes before us and works through us to accomplish His purposes.
