His name

In the land where faith and dawn collide,
Jehovah-Jireh stands, the Lord provides.
Upon the mount where Isaac’s fate did hide,
A ram appears, and sacrifice abides.

In sickness and in pain, when hearts appeal,
Jehovah-Rapha comes, His touch to heal.
Through Exodus, His promises are real,
In every wound, His balm does gently seal.

When foes amass and fear begins to rise,
Jehovah-Nissi’s banner flies the skies.
In Exodus, He hears His children’s cries,
Beneath His wing, their victory never dies.

Where turmoil churns and robs the soul of calm,
Jehovah-Shalom whispers like a psalm.
In Judges, peace flows like a soothing balm,
He brings the storm to stillness, in His palm.

Through valleys dark and treacherous the road,
Jehovah-Raah’s presence, a steady ode.
In Psalms, the Shepherd guides us with His rod,
Beside still waters, on green pastures trod.

When darkness veils the path of right and just,
Jehovah-Tsidkenu clears away the dust.
In Jeremiah’s words, we place our trust,
He is our righteousness, our truest must.

And in the end, where heaven’s gates await,
Jehovah-Shammah rules, the Lord innate.
Ezekiel tells of His city’s fate,
“The Lord Is There,” His presence our estate.

With rhythm and with rhyme, these names we sing,
Each one a facet of our God, our King.
Provider, Healer, Banner, Peace does bring,
Our Shepherd, Righteousness, His presence clings.
