No honor at home
Mark 6:4 is a verse from the Bible that reflects Jesus’ experience when he returned to his hometown. In this verse, Jesus says, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” This verse highlights the challenge faced by individuals who are familiar to their community. It suggests that sometimes, those closest to us may struggle to see our growth or potential, possibly because of familiarity or preconceptions. It’s a reminder to remain steadfast in one’s beliefs and mission, even in the face of skepticism or lack of recognition from those closest to us.
