rage
Pent up in a mental cage.
Yearning for release
Influenced by a murderous beast.
Steal, kill, destroy them all
Let insanity take the fall.
How can I stand against such might
Compelled to give in instead of fight.
Then I remembered the begotten Son
Against such rage, He already won.
I looked at the rage in a new light
And what I saw was a pitiful sight.
There were no murderous blinding rages
No murderous beast comes down through the ages.
No spirits, no ghosts, no disembodied voices
It was just me, just me and my choices.
Now when rage threatens to rear its head
I choose love, the love of God instead.
